This design is for cones that are centrally positioned and have a smaller diameter with varying optical zones. Start with an 8.8mm diameter, but 8.0, 8.4, and 9.2 are also available. The peripheral system is a heavily blended series of spherical cuts for better centration and maximum alignment. The Dyna Cone Plus and Dyna Cone Plus Elite have a 0.4mm larger optical zone than the Dyna cone.
*To convert Rose K® lenses to Dyna Cone Plus design, order the Dyna Cone Plus series with the same base curve and power, but with an edge lift 1 step steeper then the Rose K® Lens edge profile.

Fitting Guide
With central to mostly central nipple cones like this one, smaller diameter lenses with smaller optical zones in the Dyna Cone series normally work best.

Starting Trial lens: Start with the Dyna Cone Plus (DCP) design in an 8.8 diameter. Average the K readings or Sim K readings and start with a base curve from the trial set closest to this measurement. Go flatter or steeper from here as needed via fluorescein dye pattern evaluation.
Desired Fluorescein Pattern: The Dyna Cone Plus and Dyna Cone Elite (DCE) Series are designed as a light feather apex touch fit. The rest of the pattern should be as close to alignment as possible. Minimize pooling around the cone. Edge lift should be 1.0mm wide with movement of 1.0mm to 1.5mm vertically.
Diameter Selection: The Dyna Cone Plus and Dyna Cone Elite Series come in standard diameters 8.0mm, 8.4mm, and 8.8mm, but are available from 8.0 to 9.9mm. Start with the 8.8mm in most cases. The exception would be a very steep cone where the 8.4 would be a good diameter to start with. If excessive pooling around the cone appears reduce the optic zone 0.2mm.
Edge Profile: The desired edge lift will show 1.0mm width of clearance. The Dyna Cone Plus and Dyna Cone Elite series system starts with a standard edge lift. Flatter or steeper edge lifts are available in a step system. Step 1, step 2, and step 3 are each available in flatter or steeper edge lifts. All changes are computer controlled to insure reproducibility.
Examples: Should the standard edge profile show pinch off, start with 1 step flat edge profile. This should be adequate in most cases. If edge pinch off is still present with 1 step flat, go to a 2 step flat edge profile. Increase edge profile as needed to achieve desired 1.0mm of edge clearance. The same is true in reverse. If standard edge profile shows too much edge lift, steepen the edge lift to 1 step steep. Decrease edge profile as needed to achieve the desired 1.0mm of edge clearance.
Quad Sym Options: Dyna Cone Plus and Dyna Cone Elite are available in Quad Sym PC and/or BC Options. This allows for different PCs and/or different BCs across the four quadrants of a posterior lens surface.
