Lens Dynamics (LDI) incorporated in 1990 as a rigid lens lab in Denver, Colorado. It manufactures all types of GP lenses, spheres, torics, and bifocals.
LDI negotiated the exclusive US contract for the Rose K keratoconus design in 1994. By 2004, the Rose K was the leading keratoconus design in the US and accounted for 35% of the total US market.
In 2000, LDI developed the Dyna Intra-Limbal lens for irregular corneas. FDA approval was received in 2002 and the design continues to be the standard for many irregular corneal conditions. The design is marketed around the world via lab distributors in the US and a master manufacturer in Europe, No 7 Lab of Hastings, England.
In 2007, LDI developed Quad Sym technologies that allow for a lens to be made with 4 separate base curves and 4 separate peripheral curves. Launched in 2008, the option has gained wide respect from practitioners.
Al Vaske, President, has lectured widely around the world on fitting irregular corneas. He has authored 3 published articles on rigid contact lenses
