Fitting Procedure & Tips

 

1) Achieve central fit w/ alignment pattern

 

2) Lens position and movement: 

    It is important that the lens is fitted centrally on the cornea when looking straight ahead, 

    and with good translation when gazing downwards.

 

3) Wearer education: 

     Patients must be instructed to gaze downwards without lowering their head to optimize

     the peripheral near vision.

 

 

TIPS

* If lens does not center, DO NOT FIT

 

* If lens does not translate up during downward gaze, DO NOT FIT.

 

* Round down from spectacle add power 

   i.e. +2.25 order +2.00 Menifocal Z
